About 30 O'Malley church members worshipped and fellowshipped this past weekend at the Nancy Lake public use cabins. We enjoyed nearly a foot of new snow on Sabbath and a clear, albeit very cold, Saturday night where innumerable stars shone brightly in the sky. God's glory was evident all around us in the sparkling clean new snow, the brisk fresh air, the stars in the sky, and in the lives of those gathered around the wood stove for physical warmth. What a spiritual blessing it was to participate in this camp-out!
From past experience I know that the incredible beauty of Alaska pales in comparison to the look on someones face who has just felt the saving grace available to all at the foot of the Cross. I look forward to working for the Lord in Mexico and serving beside my fellow believers as we share God's love with those in need. Surely we will see God's glory in new ways, through new eyes, in Mexico.
This morning our church treasurer mailed a check to Maranatha for $3,000. This covers 10% of overall construction costs. Thank you to all who were impressed to donate to our mission costs.
Please continue to hold up our church and our mission team in your prayers. We seek God's leading in all we do. Lift up the people in Mexico as well so that God will be preparing their hearts to receive His message.
Thank you for your financial and prayer support for this mission trip.
